THE Voice fans have been left furious after they were treated to a recap instead of a new episode on Monday.
Social media was flooded with reactions from viewers who thought they were tuning in to a brand new show.
On Monday, NBC aired a recap episode that highlighted the best moments from Season 24 of the singing competition series.
Viewers were caught off guard and took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their thoughts.
"Looks like The Voice producers want us to watch Eagles Chiefs tonight with this recap episode," one fan posted.
Another complained: "NBC is seriously punking us with all these recaps. They really don't want viewers to vote for their choices before they cut people to steamroll the finale."

"I thought they were bringing someone back tonight? Not another flashback," a third critic reacted with.
Someone else wondered: "Is this episode gonna show new stuff or?"
"Wait... so this is just a recap episode and not an episode where we find out who is coming back? Why are recap episodes even a thing?" a fourth The Voice viewer complained.
Another upset TV fan pleaded: "Can we just get to the singers please? I really do not like all this recap stuff they're shoving in these episodes."

CASTING COMPLAINTS
In addition to complaining about the show airing old episodes, several viewers have been critical of the casting.
Gwen Stefani returned to the show to replace her husband, Blake Shelton, who left after more than 20 seasons.
The pop singer has been repeatedly slammed for her behavior on the show, among other things.
On November 19, she promoted a career away from the judge's chair after being ripped as "annoying."
Gwen took to Instagram to post a video of herself stuffing a Christmas stocking full of products from her GXVE makeup line.
In the short clip, the former No Doubt frontwoman walked toward a fireplace to an empty stocking with her name on it.
She took it off the mantel and replaced it with a red cowboy boot stuffed with GXVE items.
Her caption read: "'Tis the season 4 GXVINGGGGGG!
"Cannot believe the holidays are just around the corner! I love decorating and there is nothing like a country-haul for this time of year."
She went on to say: "GXVE is a must for everyone who loves anything makeup and beauty!"
SHE'S STRUGGLING
Gwen has been open with fans about the challenges she's faced on the show this season.
In October, she posted a behind-the-scenes video before a new episode aired.
She confessed that the pressure of appearing on the show was getting to her.
Gwen said in the video: "Big day today – battles. I'm getting freaked out on what I'm gonna do. How do you choose?"
She then admitted to feeling somewhat emotional about holding someone's dreams in her hands, noting that they could end up crushed.
"My heart is heavy right now," she said, sighing.
